As SrI Padmanabhan swami has answered, Nammazhwar

is called `vakuLAbharaNan " as his tirumEni was always adorned with the

garland of ‘vakuLa' flowers (Mimusops Elengi).

 

In Singapore, we have 2 great things

related to nammazhwar.

 

Vaikasi

visakham is public holiday here (They call it Visak day)

We

have plenty of this vakuLa trees. We use to make the garland to adorn

Azhwar on his TN day.

if you go by car tiruchendur to nAngneri can be reached via short cut

of i think nazareth.

 

 

 

 

 

if it is bus tiruchendur -preferably chendur express- to tirunleveli
