Things to be done during Subha Kaalams When VivAham and other auspicious KarmAs take place at home , ladies , sisters and others should be presented with Saarees . The Mother should never use the Sarres belonging to the daughter. 25. Two Sobhana KarmAs together 25.1 One should not do two Sobhana KarmAs at the same time. For instance the marriage for the daughter and the son should not be perfomed at the same time . In the same year , the marriages of the two daughters should not be peformed . The difference of 3 to 6 months atleast between two successive years is recommended .Difference in the years is prerrable . 25.2 Daughter's marriage should be performed only 6 month's after the son's wedding . 25.3 The son's upanayanam should not be performed after the daughter's marriage. Upanayanam for both sons should not be performed at the same time. 25.4 In general ,One sobhanam ( auspicious karma) should not be done with the other . 25.5 If for some unavoidable reason , two Sobhanams have to be clubbed together , different bruhaspathis (AchAryAs) should be included . 25.6 If the vivAham should be performed on the same day for two children born out of the same Mother , then it should be done at two different villages or Mantapams or lagnams . 26. The Matter of adopted children kula-dhvayam parithyAjyam dhattsyathu viSEshata: AadhEna cha pradhAnE cha tasya puthrO dhOshabhAk as per this direction , in the matter of the vivAham of an adopted son , the bride should be chosen outside the gOthram of the sveekAra vamsam and the birth vamsam as well as from gOthrams associated with the pravara rishis of both these gOthrams .
