Guest guest
ONE FOR THE SHOULDER-ONE FOR THE HEAD PeriyAzvAr and PerumAL -2 Great valour is represented by 'Great shoulders'. The Divine sword given by ShivaperumAn is also mentioned. The combination of two i.e The valorous shoulders and fierce weapon, would make anybody invincible. RavaNa possessed such a valour. Sri RAmA casually, removed these shoulders and also plucked his head with arrows. One arrow is enough to remove the life out of the body. Chakravarthith Thirumagan used arrow for demolishing this strong shoulders and one for the head. This just points to the casual nature in which DAsarathi takcled ravaNA. 'vaL ALan thOLUm vaL arakkan mudiyum..'' PeriyAzvhar thirumzohi When one arrow is enough to take life out of rAvaNA, one for the shoulder and one for the head just indicates the casual nature in which Sri RAmA confronted this rAkshashA. dAsan vanamamalai padmanabhan
