Sri U.Ve. Mukkur Lakshminarasimhachariar Swamy's 64th Tirunakshatra Mahotsavam

Dear Bhagavatas:

 

The 64th Tirunakshatra mahotsavam of Sri.U.Ve.Mukkur

Lakshminarasimhachariyar Swamy was celebrated at Sri Mattapally

Mahakshetram from 15th of June 2008 to 20th of June 2008 - the

concluding day was Sri Mukkur Swamy's birth asterism - Aani Pooradam.

 

The chief guests this year included Sri. U.Ve. Pazhaveri

Satakopachariar swamy, Sri Kaaryam, Ahobila Mutt and Sri U.Ve.

Anantapadmanabhachariar Swamin of Ahobila Mutt.

 

Five days of Chatur Veda Parayanam and saatrumarais, were concluded

with a periya tirumanjanam and saatrumarai on 20th of June to the

divya desa moorthys and Sri Yagna Narasimha Murthy of Sri Mukkur

Swamy's sannidhi.

 

The celebrations concluded with the release of a CD containing the

yagna mantrams and ganams chanted during the 107++++ Sri Swathi

Narasimha Maha Yagnams that Sri Swamy conducted for loka kshemam (in

Sri Swamy's own delightful voice).

 

Another audio CD was released recently, containing the voice of Sri

Mukkur Swamy rendering selected ganams and stotrams from vedam,

itihaasams and puranams.

 

These two CDS were released with the aim to seek donations for Sri

Swathi Narasimha Maha Yagna Trust that runs a yagna vatica at Sri

Mattapally with rooms for devotees, a goshaala with 16 cows from

which daily ksheeram is taken for Sri Mattapally Perumaal and also

nithyannadhaanam at Sri Mattapally where thousands of people are fed

without charges every month.

 

Dr.Rajagopalan Srinivasan of Mayo, Rochester, is travelling to US

this weekend and is bringing limited copies of the two cds -

 

1) Sri Mukkur Swamy's Nithyanusandhana Stortams - Audio CD

2) Sri Mukkur Swamy's Sri Swati Narasimha Yagna Mantra - Audio CD
