TIRUVANPURUSHOTTAMAN

 

This Divya Shetram is located in Tirunangur 8 Kms from Sirkazhi.

 

The moolavar is Purushothaman in standing posture. The Thayar is Purushottama Nayaki enshrined in a separate sancturm. The Theertham is Tirupparkadal Theertham and the Vimanam Sanjeevivigraha Vimanam. The legend is that Upamanyu, son of Vyagrapada, as an infant was crying out of hunger and was fed with milk by Purushottama Nayaki. This temple is also one of the 11 Divya Desams of Tirumangai Azhwar.

Azhwar Mangalaasaasanam:

Thirumangaiaazhvaar - 1258-67, 3079, 3570, 3581,3856 (pasuram number as found in Naalaayira Divya prabhandam). The Tirumangai Azhwar Mangalaasaasanam utsavam in the Tamil month of Thai is a spectacular event.

Dear Sri VaishNavAs:: adiyEn anEha namaskArams::

 

adiyEn is delighted to announce that, SamprOkshaNam is scheduled at

Thiru VaNPurushOttamam (in ThiruNangur) divyadesam on 11th September

2008. After about 3yrs (approx), Sri PurushOthama Nayaki samEtha Sri

PurushOthama Perumal is going to have 10 days Uthsavam with

kodiyEttram followed after the SamprOkshanam.

 

The main attraction would be THIRUMANGAI AZHWAR FROM THIRUNAGARI is

going to WITNESS and perform MANGALASASANAM DURING the SAMPROKSHANAM

at THIRU VANPURUSHOTHAMAM (ThiruNangur) on 11th SEP 2008. After

SamprOkshanam, purappadu of Perumal, along with Azhwar in anna vahanam

is also scheduled!

 

If Azhwar is going to ThiruNangur - Thiru Van PurushOthamam- to

witness samprokshanam and pray to Lord of PurushOthamam, then its

ultimate that We (the Sri VaishNavas) should attend the event and

RECEIVE the BLESSINGS OF DIVYADAMPATHIS AND AZHWAR!!

 

AdiyEn requests all to attend the samprokshanam which is going to be

ATTENDED and WITNESSED by THIRUMANGAI AZHWAR.
