Dear Bhagavathas

 

Keezhavazhuthur, on the way from Tanjore to Kumbakonam is priveleged

to have the presence of Sri Andavan Ashramam. The temple here

dedicated to Sri Ambareesha Varadhan has connections with

Thirukkoodalur Divya desam.

 

It is said that the present temple at Thirukkoodalur (Aaduthurai

Perumal Koil) was built by Rani Mangammal after the previous

structure was washed away by the fury of Cauvery. While they could

retrieve the Utsava moorthis, prathishta of Moolavars were done

afresh. The Moolavars washed away by Cauvery landed on the opposite

banks of Cauvery and a temple was built at Vazhuthur ( or Keezha

Vazhuthur)installing the Moolavars.

 

If one visits Vazhuthoor, they can see the 10 paasurams sung by

Thirumangai Azhwar written on the walls of the temple. A brief of the

history could also be seen.

 

I do not know why this has not been made known to many Sri

Vaishnavites.

 

HH Srirangam Srimad Adavan Sri Rangaramanuja Mahadesikan is likely to

be present and oversee the Mahasamprokshana Vaibhavam at Sri

Ambareesha Varadhaperumal temple at Keezhavazhuthur on May 28, 2007

(Monday) between 6am and 7 am. Thirukkalyana Utsavam shall be held on

May 29, 2007(Tuesday) between 10.30 am and 12.00 noon.

 

Yagasalai programmes commece on Saturday, May 26, 2007.

 

Uthsava Commitee has been formed and there are 14 eminent members of

Bhagavathas planning trip to India from US or Bhagavathas in India

planning to be around Tanjore/ Kumbakonam, kindly make note of the

SB a/c no. 35760 " payable at Chennai. The Ambareesha Varadhaperumal

Utsava Committee (AVPUC) has account at City Union Bank, Mandaveli,

Chennai.

 

Kindly note that this mail is not for soliciting any funds, but just

giving the details received by me, so that any Bhagavathas desirous

of participating can do so.

 

The objective of this mail is to urge Bhagavathas to visit Vazhuthur,

which is associated with Thirukkoodalur Divya Desam.
