Dear Bhagavathas,

 

It is tamil month " Chitirai " festival time again ; divine festival of Lord Sri Azhagar entering the Vaigai river banks at Madurai city amidst lakhs of devotess as it has been now done for hundreds of years. It will be a great sight to see Lord atop a golder Horse vahanam floating on top of the Sea of Devotees. Sri Aandal's flower garland is brought from Sri Villiputhur and the Lord Sri Azhagar adorns it before going into the city. On May 2nd 6am the Lord will enter the Vaigai river and offer Darshan to devotees. On May 3rd, the Lord gives Moksham to Mandooka maharishi while atop the Garuda Vahanam.

 

Devotees visiting India and in around Madurai take the opportunity to visit this great festival.
