Guest guest
Dear Swamin: It depends upon where you are located and where and how you propose to go. If in USA, it is risky for security reasons to take any metallic Vigrahams and more particularly any Salagramams. The Security personnel manning the Airports, Seaports and Railway stations do not know the significance and importance of these and they may reject them or worse, throw them away, leaving you in utter misery! This has happened to me once before, even when it was packed in check in baggage. I had to explain the religious significance to convince them to let me take them. From then on, I do not carry any Vigrahams and especially Salagramams. You may leave the Vigrahams in the Pooja room of your home. You may hand over the Salagramams to any trusted friend who agrees to do the Tiruvaradanam on your behalf and in your absence. If you cannot locate one, you may place the Salagramams in a bag of raw rice instructing people not to meddle with it - if you expect to be away for a considerable length of time. Hope this helps Dasoham Anbil Ramaswamy ====================================================================== Respected Sir Namaskaram...With the grace of aacharyas and the divya dampathadhis I'm doing vigrha aaradhanam daily at my home and i'm doing the same for the past 15years. During that period i've not taken the perumal anywhere outside my house. Now I'm going to my daughter's place for about a month and I'm planning to take all the perumal including all the shalagramams...Can I do the same.. or should i leave all the perumal at home and take only one shalagramam with me...I'm really confused. Please advise thanking you Sincerely Murali
