Re: Acchidram-Link : Reg

respected shri chari swamin,

i got the CD yesterday and today, i listened to 78 panchaadis. the recitation is excellent and brings out well the grandeur and majesty of the Acchidra mantras. the parayana kara swamis have rendered it unhurriedly, with due elongation and sasvaram. i wonder whether professional vaidikas could have done so much justice to Acchidram. and behind this extremely listenable (i don't find a good english word for "shraavyam") i am able to discern the labour of love of the Veda Vaadyar, who has seen to it that not a single swaram is out of place. the group has recited in unison--i suppose it must be around a dozen people or less--with not a voice out of sync with the others. i wouldn't be exaggerating if i say that hearing the CD made my day, especially on a

Ekadasi.

thanks very much for affording me the opportunity of listening to the vedaadhyaayis of Kuwait, who have proved no less than their Indian counterparts.

respected shri chari swamin, further to my mail of date, may I take the liberty of making a few observations? i dare to write thisbecause of your instruction to lend a critical ear to the recital. while the rendering is of reallyhigh quality, there are certain minor areas, which may require some "polish", here again, my hearing could be deceiving me as i said in my earlier mail, the rendering is indeed excellent and i could (or think i could) detect minor points, which do not detract from the rendering as such, but could add some "polish" to it.please forgive me if i have exceeded my limits and made remarks which do not really amount to much. congratulations once again on building up a team of veda adhyaayees, who have done their vaadyar

proud.

thanks again and regards, dasan, sadagopan
