UPAKARMA" WORSHIP OF LORD HAYAGREEVA Sri Hayagreeva is an incarnation of of Lord Vishnu,who is Gyana and Ananda personified,whose complexion is clear white and who is the root cause of all arts and sciencesBrahma had lost His encyclopaedia , the Vedas, when He was in slumber and though the kalpa had started,He could not commence His assigned duty of creation. So He took to yoga concentrating on Sreeman Narayana, the originator,who, in Hayagreeva form,killed the demons Madhu and Kaitaba, who had stolen the Vedas from Brahma. Assuming the horse-headed form, He recited the entire Vedas for the benefit of Brahma to go on with His function of creation.
