Planning for Sri Ahobila Muth's Acharya Day celebrations during the Labor

Day weekend on September 1st and 2nd, 2007 (Saturday and Sunday) to be held

at Sri Ranganatha Temple at Pomona, NY is in full swing. Thirunakshathrams

of Swami Sri Vedanta Desikar, Srimath Adivan Satakopan, Srimath Devanar

Vilagam Azhagiyasingar (43rd Jeeyar), Srimath Mukkur Azhagiyasingar (44th

Jeeyar) and the current Azhagiyasingar, Sri Lakshmi Nrisimha Dhivya Paduka

Sevaka Srivan Satakopa Sri Narayana Yateendra Mahadesikan, the 45th Jeeyar

of Sri Ahobila Matam will be celebrated during the two days.

 

This year's function will include some special events, such as, Sri Lakshmi

Nrisimhar Homam, Nava Kalasa Thirumanjanam for Sri Lakshmi Nrisimhar along

with Dolai Kannan, Sri Lakshmi Nrisimhar and Sri Chenchulakshmi kalyanam,

purappadu for Dolai Kannan along with Sri Lakshmi Nrisimhar in Garuda

Vahanam. We also plan to conduct a one hour session, as part of the

afternoon sessions, a Question and Answer panel discussion on the practice

of Sri Vaishnavism in modern times, especially as it applies in the United

States. We expect to have a group of eminent Sri Vaishnava experts residing

in the United States host the session.

 

Please plan on attending the function with your whole family for a weekend

of religious and cultural events.

 

Lodging and Airport pickup/drop off will be provided for out-of-town guests.
