Sri Ahobila Mutt Temple,Chembur,Mumbai the presiding Deities are Sri Lakshmi Nrisimha, SriLakshmi Naraya ,Sri Lakshmi Hayagreeva with a seperate sannidhi for Sri Mahalaksmi Thayar.The temple organised a grand 10 day Utsavam for Sri Andal Thiruvadipooram.The festivital concluded on 15 Aug 2007.On this day , Navakalasa Thirumanjanam for Utsavamoorthis of Sri Andal,SriDevi Bhoodevi sametha Sri Prahaladavaradan amidst Vedic and Dravida Vedic chanting.Thirukalyana Utsavam of Sri Andal with Sri Prahaladavaradan was held in the evening.The highlight of this event was ,a pair of Gold Parrot samarpanam to Sri Andal and Sri Prahaladavaradan.( later the Gold parrots will adorn Sri Mahalakshmi Thayar ).The function saw the devotees from all parts of Mumbai enthusiasically taking part in the festival.The Aradhagars conducted the Thirukalyanam ,the famous Andal Goshti of Chembur sang the traditional marrige songs.The Utsavam concluded with Serti Arai Sevai in the night.The photos taken by me on this occasion is now uploaded as a seperate album in www.imagestation.com/members/ramaswamy03.
