2007 turned out to be a golden era for Sri Lakshmi Nrisimha,Sri Lakshmi Narayana,Sri Lakshmi Hayagreeva temple of Sri Ahobila Mutt ,Chembur,Mumbai.The year started with the Vijaya Yatra of Srimad Azaghiyasingar during Feb 2007, inspite of his fratured hand.The Sannidhi for Mahalakshmi Thayar also got completed and we had the bhagyam of Samprokshanam taking place with the divine presence of Srimad Azaghuyasingar.Complete set Gold Kavachams were made this year for Sri Prahaladavaradan and his concerts and for Thayar.Immediatly after Samprokshanam, performing Srisooktha Homam every month in the presence of Utsavar Sri Chenchulakshmi Thayar was started and for this homam temple management regularly invite Srimadam Adhikaries .Next came the Samarpanam of a pair of "Gold Parrots " to Sri Andal and Sri Prahaladavaradan ( to be later adorned by Sri Mahalakshmi ) on Sri Andal Thiruvadipooram Utsavam on 15 Aug 2007. Now another major project and a rarety i.e to convert Perumal and Thayar sannidhi wooden doors with " GOLDEN DOORS". The work for thid is starting on 19 Aug 2007. A unique gesture came from temple Kaikaryaparakars who were the first to donate 12 grams of Gold. The Golden doors needs 4.2 Kg of Gold, 100 Kg of Copper,5 Kg of Silver all with a total cost of 45 to 50 Lacs.The temple has already received Gold to an extend of 2700 gms from the devotees.The balance required is 1 Kg 400gms. Sri Ramani ,Chairman of the temple made an open appeal on 15 Aug 2007 ,to all those who desired to be involved to take part in this to send/ hand over their donations to the Temple office.
