Sri Desika Sampradaya Sabha is holding the annual Achaya Jayanthi Utsavam of Swami Desikan from 14 Sep 2007 to 23 Sep 2007. Every year this is an egarly awaited function as the Utsavam is organised in a traditional way by the Sabha and all Srivaishnavites in and around Mumbai attend to receive the blessings of Swami Desikan. On all days (except 22 Sep ), the programme starts at 3. 30 PM with Veda, Grantha, Divya Prabhandha,Stotraparayanam followed by Aradhanam, Satrumurai & Goshti at around 8.30 PM. On 22 Sep 2007, Lord Sri Prahaladavaradan with His conserts and Swami Desikan from Sri Ahobila Mutt Temple,Chembur, Mumbai will grace the utsavam celebrations.The Lord will be received with Poorna Kumbham at 8 AM at the Sabha premises. Sevakalam,Thirumanjanam to these Utsavamoorthis will take place and conclude with Goshti. The will leave for Sri Ahobila Mutt, Chembur at 4 PM. Swami Desikan thirunakshtram is on 23 Sep 2007 ( Sunday ) and on this day Sevakalam starts at 2 PM. This will be followed by Purappadu, Peria Satrumurai, Perumal Sambhavanai between 5 PM and 6.30 PM and Goshti thereafter. Starting Thirunakshatram day, Upanyasam by Sri U.Ve. Osapakkam Devanathachariar Swami has been organised for 10 days daily from 7 PM to 8. 30 PM, on various Swami Desikan significant contributions starting with " Swami's Avathara Rahasyam ". In the past Sabha has received overwhelming responce to this utsavam and this year also it is requested to liberally contribute Rs.10000 per Day for Swami Desikan's Annual Utsavam Corpus fund.
