Guest guest
Sri Ahobila Mutt Temple , Chembur, Mumbai is entering it's 40th year on 11 Sep 2007. There was no temple for our sampradayam in Mumbai and bhagavathas congregated at Sri Desika Sabha and Sri Krishna Sabha ( now in their 62nd year both institutions )who were performing an excellent job then. Mukkur Srimad Azhagiyasingar ensured establishment of Sri Lakshmi Nrisimha, Sri Lakshmi Narayana, Lakshmi Narayana temple as we see it today. The Acharyan was a great visionary and He persuavaded Sri Desika Sabha to part with an adjacent land owned by them to the temple for a nominal consideration. Hence today the Temple stands in a larger area at a prime location in Chembur. The management is organising a grand utsavam on 11 Sep 2007 to commorate the occasion. It has also been decided to have a five day utsavam for Mukkur Srimad Azhagiyasingar Thirunakshatram starting from 9 Sep 2007. Avathrathinothsavam is on 13 Sep 2007 and as in the past this will be a grand event. On 13 Sep 2007, Srimad Mukkur Azhagiyasingar on Tholukkiniyan will do mangalasasanam to various Divyashetram facing the direction of the Divyadesam. Divya Pradantha pasurams will be chanted by temple Azwar, Andal Goshti lead by Devanarvilagam Sri. Saranathan Swami. In the evening there will be Thiruveedhi Purappadu in Mada vidhi.Normal activites like Veda, Divya Prabhanda parayanam, thirumanjanam to the Acharyan will also be there. All are requested to attend and contribute to the kainkaryams on these days. Regards, Dasan Veeraraghavan, Chembur, Mumbai.
