As for the second part, if you count backwards from Hastam, you will arrive at ROhiNi. That is what "aththaththin paththaa naaL" means. This is a case of poetic license where the poet juggles with words he employs in his narration. This is what I have heard from KaalakshEpams of our Acharyas.
