Guest guest
Respected dear Anbil Swami I am send this letter in response to your latest letter offering an explanation to the recently published article " A Revolutionary Lady " . I have just written down my personal feelings in the same. Regards, V. Madhavan ----------- Respected Sri Anbil Swami This letter was at the same time painful and pleasure. It was painful to note that one of the members had chosen to write to question whether the view expressed in the article 'A Revolutionary Lady' were the views of Anbil Swami or the collection of the views from Poorva Acharyaas. You had, even about two weeks ago, the rule that has to be followed by any interested member. It was clearly reminded to one and all in polite but firm terms that one cannot freely express his personal opinion in austere e magazine/journal like the . One has to quote the 'Pramanams' or the source document. That being the case it could have been assumed as a 'Moderator', you had the liberty or could have been overlooked if you had missed out or forgotten to mention the Pramanams or the source documents. It was a great pleasure, however, to go through the letter. Upon going through the list of Poorva Acharyas, the contemporary Upanyasakars, the list of books etc. from whom you have listened the excellent discourses and done your studies, I could only recall the days when we Sri Vaishnavas we had spent time all these years, listening to them in our own city of Hyderabad/Secunderabad. Going through the bibliography that you have now published it gave us a great nostalgic experience that cannot be explained. I do have collection of some of them. (More recently during the just concluded Dhanurmaasa Tiruppavai festival, I had the opportunity to listen to Sri Srivatsankachariar Swami who gave his discourses in Telugu and I was only poorer because I could not attend a single day !) The net effect of going through this latest letter is to only enhance our resolve to eagerly await the next Margazhi month and regularly update ourselves with the great thought expressed by our Poorva Acharyaas that lay in total safety in the old books I n our library.
