Dearest all,

 

In last verse, AzhwAr offered the melted heart as the

very sacred waters for bathing the Lord. And now, as

in the 15th verse- AzhwAr offers the praises to

PerumAL.

 

mAyamAn mAyas seRRu

maruthiRa natan^thu, vaiyam

thAyamA paravai pongkath

thatavarai thiriththu, vAnOrk

keeyumAl empi rAnArk

kennutais soRka Lennum,

thooyamA mAlai koNtu

soottuvan thoNta NnEnE 16

 

maayamaan mayaac cheRRu- the fake deer (Mareecha) was

destroyed;

marudhu iRa nadandhu – crawling in-between the two

marudha trees (for the yakshas to get rid of their

marudha tree forms due to their curses)

vaiyam thaay – leaped the whole universe in one step

thadavarai- huge wide manthara mountain (was used as a

rod to churn]

a maa paravai ponga thiritthu- that big milky ocean,

got stirred and started getting effervescent; [thus

got the nectar – amirtham]

vaanOrrku – for devas (celestial ones)

eeyum maal- the nectar was given – such a lovable and

caring Supreme Lord Sriya: Pathi

empiraanaarkku- My Lord- the one who does parama

upakaaram to me as well; [for Him]

ennudaya soRkaLennum- using my words (verses

-paasurams)

thooya maa maalai koNdu – as the never ever fading,

swayam prayojana garlands

thoNdanaen – this humble servant of Yours- I-

soottuvan- would dress You aptly, praising Your

kalyANa guNas.

 

The snAnaasanam was performed in 15th verse., Now in

the 16th verse, He decorates the Lord with exquisite

flower garlands made up of his words serving as the

fragrant flowers. He says " Emperumaanaarkku Ennudai

SorkaL ennum Thuya Maalai Kondu Sootuvan

Thondanehneh. Here, Trivikaram avathARam, Koorma

avatharam, Krishna avathAram and the leelas /

anusanthAnams as verses are the garlands and thus

praising Him with leelas and kalyANa guNas are the

very alankaram for Him – is azhwar thiruvuLLam
