Guest guest
Srimathe Ramanujaya Namah: Dear all, I am attending this uthsavam regularly for the past five years. I normally attend one or two days of this uthsavam. This year, I was fortunate to attend the first (1/13) and the seventh day(1/19) of this uthsavam. Thanks to Sri V Lakshminrusimhan and Sri B Senthilkumar for their mails urging people to go there. More and more people need to know about Embar. When I went for the second time, I carried my camera and captured a few photos. I am not a photographer and nor am in the habit of carrying a camera around when I go out, especially temples. This is the first time I have tried to capture an event such as this. Many photos did not come out clearly, however the rest have been uploaded in to the below album. In future I hope to do a better job than this. You can access these photos using the below URL http://picasaweb.google.com/sridharcsc/EmbarAvatharaUthsavam2008?authkey=lj2ERwJ5MZU The events are Ull purappadu, Veli Purappaadu (in pallakku), Thirumanjanam (immediately after), Yanai Vahanam, Ghoshti and general photos of the temple and the place. I could not take photos of the ekantha sevai and also at times when it was not appropriate to take photos, i.e. during ghoshti etc. One photo of sadari (generic name), of Embar, referred to as Bhattar, you can see Bhattar himself in that. Just like Mudaliyandan for Ramanujar and Sadagopan for Perumaal, it is Parasra Bhattar for Embar. Knowledgeble people can throw more light on this. I believe there will be some loss in resolution when the photos are uploaded into these albums. Let me have your feedback, if any.
