Guest guest
Dear Sri Anbil Maama I will like to thank the e-journal for giving all of us lay people a concise account of the life history of Sri Kooraththaazhvaar. The lesser learned among us only had a small milestone to wait for - this 28-01-2008 (Hasta Nakshatram) so that we can resume recitation of the Divya Prabandham. We did not ponder and solemnly think of the great life of Sri Kuresa whose janma nakshatram it was yesterday. The five great aspects about Sri Kuresa that have been brought out in this beautiful letter are: - 1) he was senior to Sri Ramanuja in age and was a sishya with great humility and indescribable respect and regard for Sri Ramanuja (we can only imagine of people with such humility of such bygone era), 2) he was a eka santha grahi (one who had the real photostatic memeory and could memorise scriptures in one glance) 3) with that memory he could convey and transcribe and discuss unlike a machine, 4) that he was the composer of the five stavas and 5) he was also a blessed persons with two good illustrious sons Parasara Bhattar and Vyasa Bhattar. I will like to thank Sri Madhava Kannan Swami for this beautiful write up. If found OK appropriate, you may kindly publish this letter in the e journal. Regards, Dasan Madhavan
