One can witness unbelievable amounts of enthsiasm and the dedication from the families and children of this temple town towards honoring our beloved acharyan. I have uploaded some pictures from last year's saattumurai for your kind perusal.. If your travel plans allow, I very much hope that it takes you and/or your near and dear to Tirupati town during the month of Aippasi to witness, participate and serve in this memorable 10 day event held at the heart of the town. The ten day festival features chanting of entire divya prabandhams, most of desika prabandhams and stotrapaatams. The main highlight of this festival is the saattumurai day when Sriyahpati Govindarajar spends the whole day at the acharyan's sannidhi (arrives at 7AM, and leaves around 4AM the following day). To me it is an experience of a life time. The grand saathupadis of the perumal and the acharyan bear witness to the antiquity of the temples, moorthis, as well as the patronage they had enjoyed over the past few centuries.
