There were some questions about

the date for the UpAkarmA since Aug 16

happens to be the day , when Lunar eclipse

happens .

 

Consultation with experts confirm that

Aug 16 is the right day to observe UpAkarma

inspite of the Lunar eclipse happening on

that day during the evening .There are too many

day light hours in between the performance of

the UpAkarmA and the Eclipse .
