Dearest all,

Weary Parakala Nayaki, assuming that “we should not expect Him to comeâ€

decides to go out herself; she dances singing for Him…

naRaiyoorum paaduvaaL navilkin RaaLE! 17

pongu aar mEl iLa kongai – the soft and tender breasts

pon E poppa – gets pale due to languishing (pasalai disease) from pangs of

separation

poru kayal kaNN neer arumba – the pair of quarrelsome fish like eyes drop a

droplet of tear;

pOndhu – she came out from inside

ninRu - unable to proceed further- and she stands there firmly

semkaala – there red legged

madam puRavam – love lorn pigeon

pedaikku – conveys to the female pigeon and hearing those voices

udal urugi – and hence her body starts melting down

sinditthu – thinking as to when Her Lord would address her and call her soon

– wondering

aangE- there itself

thaNN kaalum – ThirutthaaNkaa Divya Desam

than kudanthai nagar um – cool Thirukkudanthai divya desam

paadi- about divya desams (she started singing) and then

thaNN kOvaloor paadi- sang also cool charming Thirukkoavaloor divya desam as

well

aada kEttu – she danced and singing and listening to that- I (Parakaala

nayaki’s mother) ask her..

nangaay – Oh most virtuous One!

Num kudikku – For our family,

Idhu O nanmai – Is it appropriate?

Enna – I asked thus;

naRaiyoorum paadap PoginRaaLaay navilginRaal_ I am going to sing ThirunaRaiyoor

divya desam as well now- said She…

It may also mean- the mother addresses her friend and ask her as nangaay! Would

it be apt for her (Parakala nayaki) to dance singing like this outside?

With tears rolling down her tender breasts, they lose their colour and become

pale due to her languishing.

Though there is a nose in between, the two beautiful darting sharp pair of eyes

appears like two quarreling with each other, as to who is more beautiful.

Though she tries to control her tears, they keep coming out; tears welled in her

eyes and drop out. Hearing the pigeon’s calling his mate, she is reminded of

Her Lord and she wonders when He would call her. She addresses His divyya desams

reminding Himself of His sowseelaya, sowmabhyam and dances singing His glories.

When the mother asks her as to if it is apt for her to sing like this, she goes

on to sing one more on ThirunaRaiyoor.

thaNkaalum – This is different from ThirutthaNkaa – says Sri Uttamooor Swami

– This is cool breezy divya desam… (different from ThirutthaNkaa)
