Astrology, Gemology, Numerology and Vasthu Shastra

Hari OM,

At the current trend in Malaysia, Hindus are more obsessed with Astrology, Gemology, Numerology and Vasthu Shastra.

Astrology is okay for long term things like marriages or house warmings but to see auspicious time to recieve keys to a new house is stretching astrology a bit too far.

Gemology is the business key in Malaysia, a stone for your rasi, a stone for your birth star, a stone for your dasa lord, a stone for your bukthi lord, a stone for your kochara lord, a stone for your Ishtadeva, and the list goes on. Is this stone really going to change our life?

Numerology do not decide or guide our fate. The science of numbers is Mathematics, numbers do not decide our fate. We decide it, God helps us.

Vasthu is a religious science, but exploiting it and experimenting it is really making us loose our balance. In Malaysia hardly there is land to buy (or too expensive, to tell the truth) and do a bhoomi puja and start building a house. So people are arguing we need to re-build the house according to Vasthu. My question is we are doing Graha Pravesha puja for house warming which is inviting Sri Maha Lakshmi Devi to our house. So when Devi she herself is already at home is Vasthu still necessary...?

I not here to say to totaly disregard this science but there is a logical limitation to this but not to Sriman Narayanan.

So where or what is the stand of Sri Vaishnavam regarding these issues....?
