Hiranyapraakaaraam

She has golden porches. She resides in a gem studded mantap that is

surrounded by golden porches.

Samudratanayaam

She is the daughter of the King of the Oceans.

Jayaam

She is success and She grants success.

Mangalaam devim

She gives all good for those who worship her.

Vishnuvakshasthalsthithaam

She resides in Mahavishnu's chest forever.

Prasannakshiim

Her eyes are always filled with `anugraham;.

Naaraayanasamaashritaam

She does not leave ShrimanNarayana even for a second and is always

with Him.

Daaridryadhvamsniim

She destroys all poverty.

Deviim

She gives and grants all boons and She protects all deeds and She is

the beloved consort of Vasudeva. So She is `devi'

Sarvopadravavaariniim

She destroys all kinds of nuisances.

Navadurghaam

She is the antarattmaa of all the nine `durghas' and gives them the

necessary strengths and powers.

durghas].

Mahaakaaliim

She is the soul of Mahaakaali and directs her. Mahakali has five faces

and eight arms. She is the tamasik power of Parashakthi.

Brahmavishnushivatmikaam

She is the form of Brahma, Vishnu and Shiva.

Trikaalagyaanasampannaam

She has the knowledge of the past, present and future.

Bhuvaneshvariim

She controls all the chetanaas and achetanas and hence all the worlds.

Oh Lakshmi! You are the daughter of the king of oceans. You are the

goddess of Srirangam. You have all the divine damsels as your maids.

You are the light of the world that makes the world shine. Because of

your slight sideward glance, Brahama, Indra and Shiva get their wealth

and power. Your family is the whole of the three words! I bow to you.

Oh Mother! Please look at me with your eyes that resemble the louts

flower. You reside in the heart of Vishnu! You have the complexion

like the pollen dust on the lotus!

You protect all those who worship you! I take refuge in You!

If someone recites this for six months thrice a day, all his poverty

is destroyed and he attains everything easily. This storam will drive

the poverty that pursues someone for one crore births. So an

intelligent person will read this every Friday for a year and attain

all wealth like Kuberan. If someone reads it everyday, one will get

relief form poverty that follows him doggedly for many births and will

enjoy all comforts here and reach Lakshmi after death. This should be

read at dawn to drive away all kinds of sorrow. While reading this

Mahalakshmi with all divine jewels should be meditated upon.
