ABOUT SHREE PARASHARA GURUKULAM - AN EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTION

Dear Aasthikas,

 

I would like to introduce myself as Lakshminarayanan. We are running a small

gurukulam where presently we are training around 20 children in both traditional

education such as upayukta Veda Bhaga of Krishna Yajur Veda, important sargas

from Srimad Ramayana, Srimad Bhagavata, Gita, various other stotras, Divya

Prabandhas etc in a starong value based educational system. They are also

trained in regular education though the Karnataka State Board system. The first

batch have already finished their 10th and have joined the main stream schooling

in Mysore.

 

The gurukulam was started in the year 2003 with 4 children and we are planning

to admit 16 more children in class VI level. The gurukulam is open for Brahmin

children ie., Vaishnavas, SmartHas and Madhvas. I am posting this mail to bring

an awareness to like-minded people to avail of this opportunity to create a new

generation of professionals and scholars with a strong footing in our Vedic

wisdom and Spiritual heritage.

 

The entire course of education, boarding, lodging, clothing etc. are provided

free of cost and children are selected based on a written test and interview.
