Guest guest
sir, evidently this temple is where the Lord narayana gave his darshan to Markandeya maharishi when he was seeking prolonging his life beyond 16 years given to him and with his blessings he worshipped Amrutha gateswarar of Thirukadayur temple where The kala tried to take his life and Lord Siva kicked Yama to save Markandeya and he went back to this naryana temple to have Amirtha from The lord Narayana and live for ever. Let all the Bakthas do their best to revive this temple. As I am able to see the Muthis are made in late Pallava or early Chole period(8to 9th century A.D).Raman Chakravarthy--- On Thu, 3/26/09, sowrirajan <sowrirajan wrote: sowrirajan <sowrirajan http://enthamizh.blogspot.com/2009/03/blog-post_25.htmlTo: Date: Thursday, March 26, 2009, 5:12 AM Dear Members,I happened to visit this blog to find the sorrow state of Sri Amirtha Narayana Perumal Koil(?) near Thirukadiyur. Is this worth to leave this temple to this state? I could not resist myself sharing this with you, which is the only thing that could be done. http://enthamizh. blogspot. com/2009/ 03/blog-post_ 25.htmlDasansowrirajan
