Early this morning, after the thirumanjanam and alankaram, all devotees offered the third ekantham (moonaam ekaantham) for the Sriranga Divya Dhampathis. What this essentially means is that the dhampathis were offered the most delicious " Akkara(v)adisil " (Sweet Payasam made of Jaggery, milk, moong dal, rice & ghee). It is believed that the divya dhampathis have a serious discussion focussing on sarva lokha samrakshanam.

 

Perumal then takes Piriyaa Vidai from Sriranga Naachiyaar. But thaayar interrupts perumal mentioning she would like to go back to the her sanctum during perumal's presence in the mandapam itself. It is a double delight and indeed a joyous occasion for those who are present at the mandapam to witness this most wonderful, lovable and enjoyable event. Nam perumal comes closer to Sriranga Naachiyaar sannidhi and takes a final look at thaayar and bids adieu (piriyaa vidai) to SrirangaNachiyar.

-- Today is the day when our azhagiya manavalan  would part away from Sri Ranganachiyar. He's going away on ratha yathra. It is after one full year that they met each other and the time for them to part (Piriyavidai) has already arrived.

This  whole episode might sound simple to one. But the dearth of quality time that they got with each other is very evident from the agony on our thayar's face.

 It is so hard for partners to stay away from each other. This can be understood by couples from all age groups a like - newly married, middle aged and old. It is never an easy thing to do, even with current day's technological advancements. Even when a husband goes far away from his wife for various reasons, communication media like Land Line phones, mobile phones, Internet Telephony, Voice Chat, Video chat etc make the couple feel more close to each other, in spite of the physical distance. But our Sri Ranganachiyar always shared her closeness with Azhagiya Manavalan only through the feelings inPure Divine heart. This is something that is so deep that nobody can comprehend the depth of the void she has within her in perumal's absence

..It is very easy for men to move around and visit places. I may always be asking you people to visit Sri Rangam. But once women who are in USA have children, a car and a job, their life becomes so hectic. They need to manage everything, all by themselves -From  drop of the  children school ,  Grocereies , Vegetables ,credit card payment,, husband cloths , cleaning house,, cooking and everything under the sun. These women would probably understand the pain of staying away from their husbands - just like how our thayar does. It is only through Ranganatha's grace that anyone would get a chance to visit his abode during this blissful period of the year.
