Guest guest Posted April 18, 2009 Report Share Posted April 18, 2009 Adiyen Dasan Very happy to meet you here in the 2nd day festival of Azagiya Manavalan At around 6:00 AM in the pleasant morning at srirangam our Namperumal leaves from Kannadi Arai (palace of mirror) and goes on for a stroll around the Chitra Streets and after that he reaches Aasthana Mandapam which is near to bank of Cauvery river. There are many mandapams in Srirangam where the deity is brought over for resting for sometime during the way to Aasthana Mandapam along the way there are also many holy ponds, some of which are Vraja theertham, sathayu theertham Vriksha theertham, Kadamba theertham, Shanku theertham, Aja theertham, chandra pushkarani Surya pushkarani etc., over which building and many flats have been constructed On the way towards Aasthana mantapam all the ubayadars (Donors) do the kainkaryam of our Namperumal offering fruits / flowers and prasadam At around 6:30 PM Namperumal leaves from the Mantapam by Karpaka vriksham and reaches Kannadi Arai after strolling through the Chitra streets. In Kannadi Arai the Ekantha thirumanjanam (taking bath) by a lukewarm water and dressed up in soft clothes and after the neivedyam of milk (with Saffron / elachi / jaggery) goes to Aanadha sayanam (tranqulising state) like a new born kid. Details about Karpaka Vriksham Karpakam refers to Softness / Kindness / Prosperity. This Karpaka vriksham is a holy tree which blesses people with whatever they desire. Namperumal who is benign, who fulfills the people's right desire strolls throughout the day under the shadows of Karpaka vriksham, people who worship Namperumal on this day is really blessed and will he prosperous throughout the life. He would take care of all the obstacles in their life. Members of this Srirangasri group who are not able to visit Srirangam on this eventful day will get blessings from our Azagiya Manavalan. Please take some time to pray in front of the attached picture of our Azagiya Manavalan. We will be proceeding along with Nam perumal who will be on the Simha vahanam tomorrow morning. We sincerely pray to Sriranga Divya dampathigal so that would be able to visit srirangam very shortly to get his blessings.
