-- Dear Srirangasri  members and friends         My Saashtaanga pranaams to Azagiya manavalan, Namperumal Sri Ranganathan

Today is the 5th day of the Virupan thirunaal festival at Thiruvarangam

In Continuation of yesterday's beautiful event of Garuda sevai and the story about Garuda and Arunan, in which Garuda felt Arunan had Nagha Dosham for knowingly taking the Serpents (born to Sunithi) to the Surya mandalam, and requested lord Vishnu to wash away the sins (remove the Karma) of Arunan, Vishnu agreed to the sincere request and and on the 5th day of virupan thirunaal Ranganatha comes in the Shesha vaahanam through the streets of Srirangam blessing the people.

While proceeding through the chitra streets at the Arunodhayam (early morning before sunrise) our Namperumal has a conversation with the Aadhiseshan telling about the virtuousness of Garuda and Arunan, after which Adhiseshan is pleased about Arunan and revokes the Naga Dosham. Seshan gets blessings from Lord Ranganatha for revoking the Naga Dhosham.

At Srirangam Lakshmana incarnates as Aadhisheshan and Krishna incarnates as Ranganatha. My father Anna Rangaraja Bhattar used to say that Periya Perumal (Lord Ranganathan) is the incarnation of Lord krishna  and  Namperumal (Azagiya manavaalan) is the incarnation of Lord Rama

Lord Ranganatha has a small cut mark near the waist which is the considered as the mark that has been formed because of Yashodha tying the rope around the waist.

" Kannunil Siru-thaambinaal Kattunda Panniya Periya vaayan "

I request all the members reading this mail to view the picture of the sesha vahanam and then pray to the lord as he will bless us and make us pure so that we are washed off from the Nagha dosham.

In the evening at around 6 30 PM Namperumal leaves for Aasthana Mandapam in the  Hanumantha vaahanam, proceeding through the Chitra streets. Hanuman is considered as Sri Rama's Bhaktha (devotee). Hanuman had requested Sri Rama that he would like to be with him through all the Yugas - Kruthayugam, dwapara yuga , tretha yuga and kaliyuga. He incarnates as a devotee to Maha Vishnu in all the Yuga's

" Sendrar kudayam ninrar simhasanamam (Pasuram) "

At Srirangam when Lord Vishnu incarnates as Lord Ranganatha and Lakshman incarnates as Adhisheshan and Hanuman does his Kainkaryam (Service) as Siriya -thiruvadi.

In this blissful day at Srirangam, people are blessed to see our Namperumal in both Sesha vahanam and Hanumath vahanam and I request the readers of this mail  to view the picture of Hanumath vahanam too as Namperumal will bless us with the strength and courage so that sucess will always be with us.

Vachaka Dhosham ksameekavum!
