Dear Srirangangasri members and friends, My Saashtaanga Namaskaram to Periya perumal and Sri Periya Paratiyaar I pray to our Nam perumal and Sriranga Naachiyaar to bless all of us with Prosperity, Happiness, and purify us from all the evil thoughts.

To day is sriramanavami in srirangam koil.Sri Rama Navami is celebrated usually during this Chitra month in Navami day.Aradhana in SriRangam temple is completely in Sri Pancharathra Agama Shastram and Sri Parameshwara Samhitha as it is.

Namperumal, Azhagiya Manavalan is believed to be the son-in-law of three Kings -

1. Dharma Verma chozha Maharaja who ruled Woraiyur. He was the father of Kamalavalli Thayar (I had written about Kamalavalli Thayar during Panguni Uttiram celebrations)2. Pandiya Maharaja who's capital was Madurai. Since perumal married Andal Sri Godha Devi who belonged to Srivilli Puttur, belonging to Madurai, Namperumal is belived to be the Maharaja's son-in-law

3. Chera Maharaja, Sri Raja Kulashekhara Azhwar. His daughter, Sri Serkulavalli (sitting with perumal for abhishekam in this picture)

Sri Raja Kulashekhara was a very devout king and was very dedicated to Sri Rama Chandra. He always wanted to get His daighter married to Sri Rama Chandra. His daughter, Serkulavalli, was very dedicated to Namperumal. In order to fulfil HIS child's (Raja Kulashekhara) wish, Namperumal marries Serkulavalli Thayar. As I had written in one of my previous mails, Namperumal should be looked up on as Sri Ramachandra HIMSELF and Periya perumal as Sri Kishna.

Today, Namperumal left from the Sanctum sanctorum and reached Archujuna  Mandapam. This Mandapam is very close to Pranavakara Vimanam and Beebee Nachiyar Sannadhi. During Vaikuntha Ekadashi, this mandapam is also called Pagal Patthu Mandapam.

On Namperumal's arrival at Archujuna Mandapam, Serakulavalli Nachiyar also arrives for Thriumanjam  with our Namperumal. They look so amazing together during thirumanjanam - just like a newly wed couple. The picture attached herewith, describes taht very clearly. It is evident that Namperumal and Serakulavalli Nachiyar are so excited to see each other. Though one cannot hear anything from the picture, there is more than meets the eye. This much is clear that Namperumal and Serakulavalli Nachiyar are engaged in such deep conversations. It is through deep bhakthi that one can see them talking to each other, and may be, with deeper bhakthi, one could even hear what they are talking!!!!

After Thirumanajanam, there is Alankaram,Thiru varadahanam  and Naivedyam which is followed by Goshti.

(Goshti is a set of people who have been inheriting the miras rights, for centuries. They recite vedas, pasurams etc. They do this at the temple not for a profession, but for the passion. They do not do this for sallry or any kind of income. They only eat prasadam that is offered to Namperumal). Even the temple Archakas at Srirangam are through inherited mirad rights.

After the Goshti, people get to have dhasrshanam of our newly married couple and get their blessings. After all this, our Azagiyamanavalan leaves for the Flower carpet festival.

He makes a Thirukottara Pradhaskhnam and arrives at flower decorations Mandapam, wearing different varieties of flowers and shawl made of flowers. He then leaves from the mandapam to reach HIS Moolasthanam.

Tomorrow onwards, after our Aazagiya Manavalan  is decorated with flowers and shawl of flowers, He  would leave from there to  another mandapam which is close to the Dwjasthambam and Hayargreevan sannadhi. This mandapam is called pavithrothsava mandapam.

Our Azagiyamanavalan would arrive here for Thiruvaradhanam, Naivedhyam and Goshti  after which public would get His dharshnam. He woudl then leave from this mandapam to reach Moolasthanam with Veena Ekantham.

Vachaka Dhosham Kashameekavum,
