Meen poottha visampu athu pOl =appearing like the sky with sparkling stars

 

TaraLam kOtthu virittha neela pattu vidhAnam tOnRa= which looked like a blue canopy embroidered with shiny pearls( taraLam)

 

Vaan poottha kalai Mati pOl=shining there like the full Moon with all its 16 kalais

 

Kavikai Onga= with the lofty white umbrella (VeNN koRRa kodai) swirling in the sky

 

mati katir pOl kavari iru marungum veesa = with the white samarams(fans) moving on both sides like two beams of the Moon

 

kaan poottha tanicchelvan silayuL karumuhil minnal pOl= like the streak of lightning in the middle of the dhanus ( bow) Indhra of matchless wealth against the background of dark clouds resembling a grove of KaRpaka trees

 

kaNa maNi vaasikiyain naappuNN= amidst the dense cluster of the navamani necklaces

 

tEn poottha ThAmarayAL = the Lady who resides in the honey laden Lotus flower

( Periya PirAtti)

 

mArbil AaDa= with Her staying motionless on Your broad chest

 

Tennaranga MaNavALar Oosal Aadeer =Oh Lord of Southern Arangam ! Oh NamPerumALE ! Please enjoy Your Unjal utsavam !

 

The multicolored Indhra dhanus ( Rain bow ) is described by the poet as " Kaann

poottha tani chelvan silai".

 

" SilayuL Minnal Karumuhil pOl kaNa maNi vAsikai"= The bluish-black ( shyAmaLa)

ThirumEni of the Lord , the multihued , splenderous navaratna Maalai on that chest

of the Lord and Periya PirAtti radiant like a golden lightning there are invoked here

by the poet.

 

What a spelenderous scene at Srirangam !

 

What an imagination of the dhivya Kavi !

 

Blue canopy of AakAsam , twinkling Stars, Radiant Moon , its beams performing

ThiruvAlavatta ( Fan) Kaimakryam, Periya PirAtti staying still as Vakshastala

Lakshmi on the broad blue chest of the Lord like a golden strak of lightning

and the Lord enjoying His Unjals' gentle movements ! what a description !
