But, one observation that I would like to make is that it is always easy for anyone to link various aspects like Thithi, Vaara, Nakshatra etc that are reckoned "by the numbers" to some numerical equations. But, it would lend authenticity if the appropriate PramaaNams are not only cited but also quoted in support of any such statements made. Otherwise, they are likely to be treated as mere blah-blah and rightly ignored by the readers. This would vitiate the spirit of eagerness and sincerity with which the articles are posted. The same also applies to some others who instruct injunctions on "Dos" and Don'ts" in the matter of AnushTaanams where they fail to quote appropriate PramaaNams. The lecturer observes as follows: THIS IS SAID TO BE WORN (NATURAL ADJUNCT) BY “ PRAJAPATHI “ HIMSELF (CREATOR) “PRAJAPATHEH YETH SAHAJAM PURASTHAATH “ . The words "PrajaapatE: yath Saha-jam" mean that YagjnOpaveetam was born (ja) with (Saha) with Prajaapati himself. (May be, he also wore it!). The author seems to have literally adopted the meaning of the word "sahajam" to denote "natural adjunct" as understood in what is in vogue today in conversational Tamil. The emphasis of the SlOka is on the antiquity of the YagjnOpaveetam. Hope you will take it in the right spirit while allowing such postings.Thank you for your understanding and co-operation.
