My Sastanga Namaskarams to our Namperumal Azagiyamanavalan!

Today is the Seventh day of the Vasantha utsavam, Our namperumal strolls through with Sridevi and Bhoodevi Thayar and moves towards the Thiru Kottaram, Thiru Kottaram is a place where all the dhanyams (pulses, rice) are stored. It is a belief that our Namperumal visits the Thiru Kottaram to measure the nellu (grains). After this is done, our Namperumal proceeds toards the Vasantha mandapam.

On this day of Vaikasi Visakam, the thiru nakshatram of Nam Azhvar is celebrated. We are really blessed that both these festivals coincide on the same day. Please pray to Nam Sadagopan (Nam Azhvar) and Kaliyan (Thirumangai Azhvar) that their blessings will provide us with a peaceful and a happy life.

So, let us pray to  Sri Ranga, who is not only filled with all goodness and beauty, but surrounded by gardens that are also beautiful enough to match Him, to relieve us from the sorrows of the materialistic world. Please bless us by giving us an opportunity to serve you relentlessly enabling us to keep us focused on you and relieve us from this tiresome process of being born and dead in the materialistic world. I beg thou, the one who is  the personification of beauty, kindness, love and affection, to protect me from all the forces that keep me away from you.

Henceforth, I would not think or do any activity that is not revolving around you.
