It is very near to Ramanathapuram. No other places / temples are preferred srivaishnava temples in that area. A prapanna (who has undergone parasamarpanam / prapatti / saranagathy) will NEVER go to non-srivaishnava shrines including shrines which has both Vishnu and anya devantharas like shiva, ganapathy, murugan etc - the reason (my understanding, any errors are only mine) being that the theertham and prasadham offered to our lord may get mixed up with the other devathantharas - and going to such temple and having theertha prasadham will destroy our focal concept of complete surrender with greatest confidence (Maha Viswasam) to ONE and ONLY to our divya dhampathies Sriman Narayanan and Sri Mahalakshmi. So, As a true prapanna having dharsan of " SrI Kalayavalli sematha SrI Adi Jagannathan (moolavar) / SrI Kalyana Jagannathan (utsavar) " and " Dharba sayana Sri Raman " will complete the divya desa yatra to Ramnathapuram to its fullest. Rameswaram is a shiva place. No way srivaishnava is connected to that place. Navapashanam is navagraha place. Again noway connected to true prapanna. You can stay in Sri Ahobila mutt in Thirupullani. If you get time, it is good to have theertha snanam at Thiruppullani Sea (Sethu) with vedic tituals. You can get hold of a Iyer vadiyar there named Lakshmana Sashtry, who stays next to Sri Ahobila mutt. He will help you in completing the rituals at Sethu as per the srivaishnava procedure with proper sankalpam and all. Hope this helps. If one could perform Thirumanjanam to the thaanugantha thirumeni on his Thirunakshathiram day - consequtively for 3 months and take the Theertha Prasadam for inside and sprinkle all over the body - it wonderful cures the skin ailments - but one has to have a STRONG FAITH YOu can cross verify the state by refering this with Kumudham Jothidam articles - which was repeatedly recommended under the ques and ans.portion.
