Guest guest
I am new to this group and find most of the postings of our learned members, going beyond me. I feel that the rising generation of our country have failed and neglected to confirm to ordinances of religion, as the modern spirit refuses to submit to unquestioning and implicit obedience. But I find that most of the posting do not have even a comment. I would feel happy and satisfied that our efforts have not been in vain if this group is successful in imparting knowledge and take possession of the noble heritage of our land to make a better and happier world. Hence I request all posting, which have Sanskrit words, may be translated and/or explain in simple English for ignorant few like me I hail from a small hamlet called devanarvilagam in thanjavur district of tamil nadu (near uppiliappan koil), but never had chance to know about our hindu religion till now due to my residence in north india/abroad. Now, since I am settled in Chennai and operate a small tour company specializing in temples, I have more interaction and opportunity to learn. I have also started a group exclusively for describing from my notes of more than 3000 temples (deity, structure, location) collected over a period of time (templetours/) With best wishes Kumar Ramabhadran
