We will be taking up the Bhakti-laden Kritis of Sriman NaarAyaNa BhakthAs and enjoy the Bhakti bhAvam in these kritis . We will start with the kritis of Saint ThyagarAja and proceed further with the kritis of BhadrAchala Raama Das and other VaagEyakArs , who offered Naadha NaivEdhyams to the Lord of the Universe and used this path to gain Jn~Anam , perform SaraNAgati and achieve residencies in SrI VaikunTham . There are 400 plus krithis that are still available from the thousands of kritis composed by Saint Thyagaraja . We will study them one by one ( one a day) , have the Text , meaning, comments and links ( wherever available ) to their renderings by a Sangeetha VidhvAan of those kritis . In this posting an introduction to the NaadhOpAsanai of Saint ThyagarAja is presented along with an article by VaikunTha Vaasi Mahaa VidhvAn PudukkOttai A.SrinivAsarAghavAchAr (ASR) Swamy on " Music and our SampradhAyam". Please scroll down after adiyEn's introduction to access the article by Sri ASR Swamy .
