SRS -- Dear Sri Ranga Sri members and friends, Its a great pleasure for me to write about this Navaratri's Seventh Day which is known as Periya piratiyaar in Thiruvadi sevai Sorry for the delay in writing about this festival, i had gone through knee replacement surgery last week and by the grace of our Azagiya Manavalan and Sriranga Nachiyaar the surgery went fine, with the wishes from the all my well wishers of Sri ranga sri and my dear friends i hope to recover soon and do my daily kainkaryam at to our perumal.  am writing today to you all about a couple of very important and auspicious days among the holy days of navaratri - the 7th day and the 10th day. The 7th day is celebrated as " Periya Perattiyarin Thiruvadi Sevai " . This is an opportunity she creates for her beloved children to have darshanam and take shelter of her lotus feet. This is so important to all devotees because it is throughHr Bessings and mercy that even a sinner can trun in to a devotee of the Lord. It is her vatsalyam that help us proceed ahead in Sriman Narayana's devotional service. What better opportunity than this, to take shelter of her reassuring yet tender feet - The great occasion of " Thiruvadi Sevai " She has such a kind face and a nature that compliments her looks. She is a personification of karunyam, vatsalyam and all the great qualities that an ideal  mother would possess. Her smile is always so reassuring that it is at the shelter of her feet that we find the path of Vaikuntam. Her palms are so soft and tender like those of a baby's. Her feet are so red due to giving shelter to all ther children. She is the only complete mother who does not see the bad things in her children, but considers those bad things as the nature of theirs and helps them  in revival and hence attain mukthi. The 10th day is Vijaya Dashami. On this day, our  form HIS moolasthanam.HE then visits Vijaya Dashami Mandapam. This mandapam is close to SriRangam Railway Station (Katta Azhagiya Singar Kovil). Our Azhagiya Manavalan then proudly rides the horse back (Kudurai Vahanam), to return to HIS moolasthanam. I sincerely pray that all HIS devotees get a darshanam of HIS voiyyara nadai, HIS kasturi thilakam etc, at least once in a life time. I request all of you to have HIS blessings through these pictures. HE would always be with us, guiding us in the right direction, with the end goal as mukthi and not any materialistic desires. Vijaya Dashami marks victory and may HIS darshanam bring victory to all HIS devotees. " Thiru Netriyai Parkade, Thiruvadiyai Paru " - Means, don't look (or seek shelter in) HIS face, but look at HIS lotus feet. It is HIS feet that we all need to surrender at. I will put my best efforts in bringing to you all, the live feed of the  festival through my mails and pictures -- R Narasimhabhattar 5 of 5 Photo(s)
