Guest guest
-- Dear Sri Ranga Sri members and friends, My Shastanga Namaskaram to our ever Periya perumal and periya pirattiyar. I am happier than ever to write to you all about Unjal Thirunaal uthsavam celebrations at Sri Rangam. More so because our very own Sri Ranga Nachiar is such a devout wife of Sri Ranganatha, so dedicated that any festival that is celebrated for her is all within the premises of the temple and within the reach of Lord Sri Ranganatha. On the first day, She leaves her Moolasthanam by evening and heads for Unjal Mandapam. On Her way, She passes by a large mirror where She glances at HER beauty and wonders if SHE was decked up enough to impress Sri Ranganatha! SHE is so aptly called as " Hari Vallabhi " !!! SHE settles down at the center of the Mandapam. . SHE enjoys Tiruvaradhanam, having Teertham, Shatari and Goshti. . This is a sight that one must have done so much punyam to even hear about. It is something that cannot be seen anywhere other than in Sri Rangam. In such grandeur, our very own Sri Ranga Nachiyar, on all the nine days of the festival, gets decked up in different Alankarams. While she seems like the divine mother, she suddenly starts appearing a like a baby girl. When you start enjoying that, you get a feeling that she is shying away like a newly wed bride. Then she suddenly gives an appearance of a very matured Grand Mother whom you can always run to, as a mischievous grand child. Honestly, there is no end to all this. One could go on and on trying to experience Her in every way that human mind can interpret. I pray at her feet that she blesses all creatures on all the nine days of this auspicious occasion. .. I pray to her sincerely that she rains down anugraham on all of us on this grand occasion. Just two weeks back Our Azagiya Manavalan Unjal Thirunaal concluded in a grand fashion. As always, I have enclosed pictures of our Namperumal and Nachiyar. As always, please forgive me if there are any unintended faults in my mail. Vachaka Dosham Kshamikkavum.
