Dear Bhaagavatas

From the perfect score for the “All-Correct answers” received from almost everyone and that too instantaneously, we are led to doubt whether the difficulty level of the questions is at the lowest or whether the insight level of readers is at the highest!

=================================================================

The question # 17 was:

“Sometime ago, we had a quiz on 5 “Pativratas”. There is a famous sloka saying that daily remembering the 8 Chiram-jeevis, we can expect to live the full “Veda praayam” of 100 years in perfect health. (JeevEma sarata: Satham) without any ailment.After enumerating their names, the last line of the SlOkam reads as follows: "jeevET varsha satham sarva vyaadhi vivarjita:// " Who are these 8 Chiram-jeevis? Just mention their names. No further explanations are expected. Please make sure that you do not miss out anyone or more. ================================================================================

The correct Answers are:

Aswattaama / Bali / Vyaasa / Hanumaan / VibheeshaNa :/ Kripa / Parasurama and maarkaNDEya.

The “Nitya Aachaara Paddhati” has these verses:

Quiz of the week # 18

We know that deities in the Hindu pantheon have their own mounts (Vaahanas). The following deities have peculiar Vaahanas.

Each of these deities also has one or more alternate names.

1. One uses a mongoose or a horse or a man as Vaahana.

2. One rides on air (literally, Airborne!)

(a) Who are these deities?

(b) Mention at least one of their alternate names for each of them?
