My postings to the news group mostly pertains to events in Srimath Andavan Ashramam as well as events haapening in some of imporatant temples.But as a little bit diversion , I am just attachinga picsaweb photos of an event happened last Sunday, 13th December,2009 in Kanchipuram. On that day, Senior most Bhattar of Kanchipuram Sri Deva Perumal sannathi, Sri Sampathkumara Bhattachariar is having Sapthathi, 71st Thirunakashatram (birth day). and the function was held at Sri Ahobila Matam at Kanchipuaram.

The significance to the event is the assembly of all Senior Bhattars of Sri DevaPerumal Sannathi at one place, which be a sight to watch. Since many of the group members would have visited Sri Deva Perumal Temple and many of you may know these Bhattars personally, I am sending these photos to the group members. I am sure that you will have an opportunity to see a large gathering of devotees of Sri Deva Perumal , witnessing the Sapthathi function of His Chief Bhattar, celebrating Sathathi in His Sannathi Strret itself at Ahobil Matam. It is also to be mentioned here that this Bhattar is the son in law of Chief Bhattar of Thirunaaraayanapauarm Temple in Melkottai and incidentally, his thirunaamam also is Sri Sampathkumara Bhattar.

In the pictures, you may be able to see the other senoir Bhattars, Sri Ranga Bhattar, Sri Raja Bhattar, Sri Murali Bhattar, besides others.
