Bhoothathazhwar describes himself as perum tamizhan in 74th stranza of irandaam tiruvavdadhi by composing: “yaanae thavancheidaen…. 3. Nammazhwar (Obviously incorrect) 4. Swami Desikan proudly calls himself “Santha migu Tamizh MaraiyOn” by showing his love for tamil and tamil prabandhams of Azhwars and he himself gives the proof of it by summarizing the names of all azhwars and their prabandhams.
