Guest guest
Sri Rangji temple would be celebrating its annual Sri Brahmotsav from 4 March to 13 March. All the devotees along with their families and friends are requested to attend this holy festival and seek the blessings of Lord Sri Goda-Rangamannar. Please refer to the schedule at http://srirangjimandir.org/brahmotsav.html for details of the utsava. -Aditya
Guest guest
Dear Bhagavathas, I recommend everyone of you to make a visit to this beautiful and magnificent Rangji Mandir in Vrindavan. The beauty of Godha and Rangamannar in the temple is an enchanting and mesmerising experience. The temple is about 160 years old and still maintains our Sri Vaishnava tradition in Vrindavan, near Mathura under the committed supervision of Sri Govardhan Rangachariyar, an eminent exponent of our sampradayam. One can surely have a South Indian Srivilliputhur experience in North India....What an appropriate spiritual reunion of Godha in the real Vrindavan (Mathura) with her Madhusudan. I suggest bhagavathas who undertake pilgrimage to Vadanattu thiruppathis should make a visit to this temple. I remember there was a coverage of this temple in the 108 dhivydesam serial which came in the Jaya TV. I donot remember the exact dates and the links. I will try to post it later. adiyen madhurakavidaasan T.A.S. Guest guest
Adiyen Ramanuja Dasan.Indeed, the whole temple was splendid. The temple complex was very massive too. The largest which I had seen in the whole of Vrindavan. However, the local guides seem to be of an annoyance! They were unnecessarily persuasive and wanted us to take their service. And they do not share any of the wonderful pastimes with the unsuspecting devotees. They merely says, 'Ye peetal ka hai, wo chandi ka, bhagavan ka mukut swarna ka hai aur usme heeraen bhi hai' ('This particular paraphernalia of their Lordships are made up of Brass, that one of Silver, his crown of gold & it contains diamonds too'.) They further ask the assembled devotees to make to break into an impromptu laughter and make them clap! (I, still, do not know why this is done.). They don't even tell who Sri Andal is!While, the temple is very well maintained, in order to see their Lordships closer as opposed to the normal 30 ft distance, one would have to pay 10/-. I am not sure how many are ready to perform the financial kainkaryam of Rs 10 per person. The whole of Vrindavan is resounding with the chants of 'Radhey! Radhey!'. However, we get to hear the voices of the guides only.Of course, this was adiyen's experience. It is possible that because of adiyens disqualifications the transcendental experience of being in an awe-inspiring temple was inaccessible only to me.Sarvaaparaadhan Kshamasva.namO nArAyaNAya!--- On Tue, 3/2/10, tasviji <tasviji wrote:tasviji <tasvijiRe: SriRangji temple Brahmotsavam 2010 Date: Tuesday, March 2, 2010, 10:08 PM Dear Bhagavathas, I recommend everyone of you to make a visit to this beautiful and magnificent Rangji Mandir in Vrindavan.
