Guest guest
My daughter got conceived 2 years after marriage in 2008.But during the 7 th month of pregnency she developed some complications. We had by that time completed conducting of Valai kappu ,poochutal etc as required by sastras. Our sambandhi had fixed choultry for conducting seemantham and had posted invitations to all .But meanwhile the doctor advised against the cnduct of the function as her health was very delicate and she can not stand the homam smoke and has t be confined to bed.Hence the function was cancelled ,but she became very critical and the doctor said that they can only save the mother and the baby has to be forcibly delivered if at all we want the mother to be survived. They administered some medicines which artificially induced forced delivery before the required 32 weeks period. The delivered baby survived for fraction of a minute and passed away. Now she is again completing eight months and my doubt is whether our in-laws should conduct the seemantham fuction which they could not perform earlier or it is deemed that the seemantham is to be conducted for the first born baby only. I would like to know the opinion and suggestions of your esteemed group regarding conduct of this function and what does the sastras say about this. adiyen dasan
