Dear Sriranga Sri members and friends,My sashtanga Namaskaram to Namperumal and Sri RangaNachiyar!.

This beautifully describes how our Namperumal is taking rest watching the people of srirangam and as he witnesses the people's dedication and eager in celebrating the festival which brings bliss on his face

Sri Azhagiya MaNavalan starts on a procession around the Chithra streets at 7:30 AM.  He arrives at the Garuda Mandapam through Ranga Vilas.  This day signifies His graciousness to go to His devotees that are unable to come to Him and provide His blessings to all.  He remains at the Garuda Mandapam till the evening at the Garuda Mandapam for all his devotees to view His beauty. At 5:15 PM, our Azhagiya MaNavALan starts His procession towards Jeeyar Puram.

The main purpose of Him to go to Jeeyar Puram is to provide His blessings to his beloved devotees outside of Srirangam as well.--

He starts graciously marching towards JeeyaPuram, which is located west of Srirangam across the Vada Thiru Cauveri along the Melur Road.  On the way, He hears an Ammayar (old lady) calling her grandson by name of Rangan.  The Lord assumes that the lady is calling Him and goes to her.  The old lady provides Him thayir sadham (curd rice) and vadu manga (tender mango pickle).  The Lord eats with content and marches on towards Jeeyapuram.  After a while, the young grandson of the old lady comes by and asks her why she hadn’t given him his daily dinner yet.  That is when the old lady realizes that it was not her grandson that had the food from her hands.  The Lord appears in front of her and blesses her and identifies that He Himself had come to her to eat the food from her own hands.  When the old lady came to know, she said if only she had known, she would have made akkarai vadisal and fed the Lord.  The Lord replied saying that He always eats akkArai vadisal at His palace of Srirangam but was longing for the simple food that His devotees have been eating.  He blesses His devotees and marches on further across the river Cauveri

On His way, Goddess Cauveri requests His blessings.  The Lord requests for a favor from her at a later date to help him cross to get to Uraiyur.  There is a side story that Sri Renga Nachiyar comes to Cauvery thayar and asks her where Her beloved husband Azagiya Manavalan  was. The Lord then proceeds on to reach Jeeyapuram overnight.  This concludes day 2 of the uthsavam.

I apologize for any faulty interpretation or wordings
