Dear Sri Sriranga Sri Memembers!Dear friendsMy Sastanga Namaskarams to our Namperumal ,Azagiyamanavalan!Today is the  Eighth  Day  Utthsavam in  Adhi Brhma Thirunall!

Lord Sri Ranganatha  not only purify our hearts but also our sins will be absolved! On this day, Namperumal, as usual, start His procession from HIS Kannadi Arai(Mirror Room). My sincere prayer is that HIS beautiful Woiyyara nadai, kasturi thilakamum, on this blissful day at Srirangam,

People are blessed to see our Namperumal  and I request the readers of this mail  to view the picture of  our  Azagiyamanavalan will bless us with the strength and courage so that success will always be with us.This beautifully describes how our Namperumal is taking rest watching the the benign people of srirangam and as he witnesses the people's dedication and eager in celebrating the festival which brings bliss on his face

pleasant smell of the soil along kaveri and everything that has any relation with Sri Ranganatha must always be with us Lets pray to our Lord  Sri Rangantha  so that he will bless us but also protect us from the evils of the society.

-- UTHSAVAM DAY 8 Pallakku, Allaikkarai Mandapam & Kuthirai vaganam (28th March)On this 8th day, Lord Azhagiya Manavalan starts His procession at 6:30 AM in His  pallakku.  He arrives at the Allaikkarai Mandapam (Srirangam border mandapam), which is located on the shores of Vada Thiru Kaveri or Kollidam.  Lord NamperumaL leaves via the manal veli through the eastern gate, walks all the way across the railway lines, then turns left to go towards Thiruvanaikaval and reaches Allaikkarai Mandapam on the banks of Vada Thiru Kaveri.  The Lord provides His blessings to all His devotees at the Allaikkarai Mandapam starting at 10:45 AM.  Lord Azhagiya Manavalan gets on His Kuthirai vaganam (horse ride) at 6:00 PM.  He goes back through vadakku vasal to vadakku (North) Chithra street and rides His horse magnificently around the 7th prakaram of Srirangam.  When He arrives by the GOratham (Horse Chariot) in kIzha (East) Chithra street, He performs His beautiful woyyali march on His Kuthirai vaganam.  This is a wonderful treat for the eyes of bhakthas.  The Lord returns to the kannadi arai  for the night after going around the Chithra  streets and is getting prepared to meet with Sri Ranga Nachiyar the next day.

This day has been a day of preparation for the Lord.  Lord Azhagiya Manavalan goes to eAlaikkarai mandapam and comes back via kollidam purposefully as if searching for His lost ring.  In earlier days, the Srirangam people who walked with Namperumal  had sieves to sift through the sands of kollidam for the supposed lost ring.  Nowadays Lord Namperumal just rides His horse through kollidam from Allaikkarai mandapam back through vadakku vAsal.  He has been preparing a list of excuses and reasons to tell Sri Ranga Nachiyar, who is angry with Him because He had gone somewhere (WoraiyUr) on the 6th day of the uthsavam without telling Her.  She came to know through Kaveri thayar, as we saw in our previous articles that Sri Ranganatha was seen going across the river in his wedding dress.  An interesting series of events are about to happen on the most auspicious day of the year on the 9th day of the uthsavam on Panguni Uthiram.

We will continue to discuss in detail the beautiful events of mattaiyadi, pralaya kalagam, Serthi, Gathyathraya goshti and Sri Ranga Divya Dhambathigal  ThirumanjanamSri Ranganatha is the savior of all creatures. He protects them as His duty. Since Sri Rangam is the abode of the lord Himself, this is the ONLY  place on earth which is worth being called as " Bhooloka Vaikuntham " . Blessed are those who are born in Sri Rangam, those who live in Sri Rangam and those who end their materialistic existence by leaving their body, in Sri Rangam. One must always consider it a goal in life to visit Sri Rangam at least once, though not plan to live there. But the best thing to do is - Be born, live and get Moksham in Sri Rangam. One must think only of those activities that are connected with Sri Ranganatha -

 - Buying vegetables that are grown on the banks of holi kaveri river that washes the feet of the Almighty - Eat food that is prasadam after offering to Sri Ranganatha  - Have water (Theertham) that was offered to Him

 - Get blessed by Him through the Sri Shatari (Sri Sadagoppan - Lotus feet of the Lord).

As always, please forgive me if there are any unintended faults in mymail.

Vachaka Dosham Kshamikkavum.Ever yours,AdeyenNarasimhabhattar
