OM NAMO NARAYANAYA

Dear Bhaagavathas,

Adiyen is undestanding there are only tweleve alwars and they are His, inseperable and craved for reunion with lord Ranganatha when they were to born on earth to give us glimpses of Lord at His intent and His boon to Agasthya. They are (1) Poigai, (2) Bhoodat, (3)Peya, (4)Bhaktisar, (5) Nammalwar, (6) Madhurakavi, (7) Kulasekhara, (8) Periyalwar, (9) Andal, (10) Tondaradippodi, (11) Tiruppanalwar, (12) Tirumanagai alwar.

However I am also seeing names (1) Garudalwar, (2) Kuratthalwan, (3) Chakratalwar (4) Govindalwan and similar other descriptions.

Learned men, kindly let me know the second case Alwar / Alwan title is added in what context.

Best regards
