Dear Bhagavadas,

 

Marghazhi suklabhaksha dasami (Dec, 29, 2006) was the day in which Sri Emperumanar and Sri Namalwar were in serthi as Nayaga And Nayaki. This is the very rarest event for emperumanar devotees. In alwarthirunagari, Nam-Alwar is adored as Pallikonda Perumal (Similar to Sriranga perumal Posture) and Emperumanar will be adored like SriDevi Nachiyar. Adored emperumanar will be touching the lotus feet of Sri Nam-Alwar. Nayaga - Nayagi bhavam between Nam-Alwar and emperumanar is the rarest moment here. The sampradhayam of doing this Nayaga - Nayagi bhavam existed from the period of Sri Thiruvaimozhi Pillai.

 

Emperumanar devasthanam had made special arrangement to capture this rare moment and share this details with the emperumanar devotees. I am attaching picture taken during this serThi and please find a video link below that captures this rare moment.
