SrI: SrimatE rAmAnujAya nama: Dear fellow vaishnavas, Kindly visit the following website: http://www.chennaionline.com/hotelsandtours/Placesofworship/2007/04temple154.asp It is indeed sad that temples like Tirumala are flourishing while other divyadesams are languishing. What happens to all the money collected in Tirumala? Why can't they share the wealth with other divyadesams? It is common knowledge that without SwAmi emperumAnAr there is no significance to Tirumala. Alas, people might even worship him as

Lord Shiva/Muruga if not for SwAmi emperumAnAr. It is a very much a SrivaishnavA shrine, and the control should be given to the very matam that SwAmi emperumAnAr started to maintain Tirumala. Who listens, who cares!! dAsan.

SrI: It is really sad to see the news. Maybe we should do something instead of waiting for TTD to take any action. aDiyen Ramesh Narasimhan vimalkumar ranganathan <panardasan wrote: SrI: SrimatE rAmAnujAya nama: Dear fellow vaishnavas, Kindly visit the following website: http://www.chennaionline.com/hotelsandtours/Placesofworship/2007/04temple154.asp It is indeed sad that temples like Tirumala are flourishing while other divyadesams are languishing. Dear fellow vaishnavas,

I appreciate the cuase. Unfortunately it is this forum said that everything is going on fine in Tirumala when the places visited by our Lord Ramanuja were destroyed just like that. We should ask the government about it. It is unfortunate that we fight for petty things and leave important things. If it is done for any other dharma other than hindu, they will make a hue and cry which we dont.

Only Lord should help us.

Thanks

dasan

Hon.Members,

Sri Srinivasan, Thiruvengadamudayan, is of unsurpassed glory; and we all know the reason why the temple attracts vast contributions. It is not right to question how that funds is used, for the simple reason that Sri Venkatachalapathi will take care of it.

Instead, we can do something positive about the divyadesams that are not much looked after.

This forum can organize itself to do some of the following (but not limited to these):

1. Do not encourage new temples to be built without the condition of supporting at least one divyadesam that is needy.

2. Identify the divyadesams (about 50, perhaps? Others are being cared for already).

3. Even if we have 100 committed members here, let us take the responsibility of organizing the care, by aligning ourselves like 2 persons per (specifically identified) divyadesam. Each Divyadesam may require (my guess, no logic) $1500 per year? and some local collections? We are talking about less than $70 per member or member's family per month here.

4. If our membership is more than 100, to that extent the commitment would be less than $70 per month.

5. One thing is money, but the other thing is having a family member or known responsible person at the divyadesam location to take care of the daily maintenance and the sevakalams. This is where the members have to get down seriously and locate a good person. In the country where Sri Ramanuja single handedly propagated our Vaishnavism, where Sri Koorathalwan sacrificied even his eyesight in the service of the Lord, where Sri Ananthalwan worked day and night to dig the Pushkarini to maintain the Vanam and do pushpa seva for Sri Venkatesa, are we really struggling to find one person each at the Divya Desam? This is not possible, but only reveals the lack of commitment by us and sheer laziness.

Let us wake up, get together, and bring the wonderful Divya Desams back on track and where they belong.

Dear Sriman Raghavacharya swami, Srivaishnavas particularly those from Tamil Nadu, dont know much about TTD and their malicious intentions under the influence of vested interests. The upanyasams they sponsor, the books they publish, particularly in Telugu language, are not even remotely connected to Vaishnavism and nobody gets faith that Lord Venkateswara is the supreme being. Lord Sri Venkatachalapti takes care of the entire universe, not just the money poured into TTD's hundi. So let us never think that it is an apacharam to talk ill of TTD. It is an apacharam only if we don't!! adiyen ramanuja dasan Vishnu ----------------------- Hon.Members,Sri Srinivasan, Thiruvengadamudayan , is of unsurpassed glory; and we allknow the reason why the
