Guest guest
Srimate Ramanujaya Nama: 22nd April 2007 demands no description; but the crusades arduously fought by the exemplary acharya born this day do require emphatic reiteration! Priya athma-bandhus, All of us are immersed in the celebration of Emperumaanar's thirunakshtram. We pray to him to shower his divine grace on all beings. While enjoying his thirunakshtram, it is mandatory on our parts to think of him, his life, his achievements, his wishes and most importantly our kartavyam towards him! 'Ramanuja Darshanam' which was once a flooding river, is drying out rapidly! This mangnificient tree with innumerable branches and foliage has shrunk beyond imagination! Think of the days when Emperumaanar ambulated the streets of Srirangam followed by 700 sanyasins and 12000 ekangis. Each sanyasin and ekanky dedicated his live to Emperumaanar and his darshanam. Today, we hardly find hearts and minds burning with the desire to serve Ramanuja Darshanam! All of us are engaged in either one or all the types of kainkaryam i.e mAnasikam, vAchikam or kAyikam. There are many Srivaishnava institutions working to serve our sampradayam. We too, identify ourselves with such institutions. While engaging in its activities,we should be cautious enough not to forget the ultimate objective of ' sole benefit to Ramanuja darshanam '. Our affiliation to such organizations often leads to frequent conflicts with other organisations. Having tread the path shown by Ramanujacharya and having embraced his exalted ideals, such quarrels are instrumental only in misleading us! No doubt, our affiliations to such organizations are good; but when the final objective of 'sole benefit to Ramanuja Darshanam' is shaken, we ought to consider our efforts as mere hindrances! Nanjeeyar embraced sanyasam with the sole aim of serving Parasara Bhattar uninterruptedly. But when Bhattar stopped him from carrying his(Bhattar's) palanquin(pallakku) on the grounds of his sanyasam, Nanjeeyar decided to give up uttama-ashramam (sanyasam)! When the ultimate aim is impeded, we should realize its grave consequences and come back to track. The need of the hour is our unification under the roof of Ramanuja Darshanam. We, a group of Srivaishnavas, are working incessantly to bring harmony and synchrony among all the levels of our sampradayam. By Emperumaanar's grace we have been able to accomplish some kainkaryams at Thiru-Arangam Periya Koil despite a negligible voluntary strength. Today's SriVaishnava sampradayam needs volunteers and volunteers alone. If at all we want Emperumaanar's darshanam to percolate deep into the future, voluntary service is the only means! A sampradayam lacking productive human resources would never become perennial. Hence,we make a humble request. We function in the name of Kainkaryashree. Our sole aim, objective and dream is serving Emperumaanar's darshanam. We are not affiliated to any specific institution; we identify ourselves with all Srivaishnava institutions. We work for sampradayam as a whole. But to work efficiently and effectively, we compulsorily need your voluntary support. When we mean voluntary, we mean the use of your mind and body; no other resource. Those willing to extend valuable voluntary support, please mail us at kainkaryashree . We reiterate a few things. Many of us feel Ramanuja Darshanam is growing well considering the utsavams at our temples as the sole measuring yardstick. But reality is otherwise! Many wings of our sampradayam are gradually nearing their end! It is time to resurrect! It is time to revive our glorious past! And to do so, the only words are 'unity' and 'selfless attitude'. All of us are born with the responsibility of protecting Ramanuja darshanam. That is our foremost responsibility. Hope all of us understand this and make efforts to execute it devotedly. 'The lamp has been lit. Our duty is to oil it regularly. When we fail to oil it, it will slowly lose its spark and one fine morning, die '. Please support us by voluntary service! Expecting your immediate response, SriRamanuja dAsargal,-- -- ever-in-divine-service,KAINKARYA SREESrimaan Trust (Srimaan Bhattar Kuzham)http://parasarabhattar8220.fotoblog.co.uk/Postal address:231 South Uttara St, Srirangam, Trichy-620 006 Tamil Nadu, INDIA Ph 0431-2431109 Email: India - srimaantrustUSA - srimaantrustusa
